The Silhouette

I shall have my last laugh
on Love, after all.
Love, a mere silhouette,
of emptiness,
between the crumbling walls,
of desire and disdain…
between the stained sheets
of lust and pain…
between the fragments
of broken promises…

And I shall have
my last laugh of disdain,
as I stand
shivering,
in the land of
frozen tears
and molten hopes.
