The Handicap

They expected her
to mourn
her handicap
and whine
her precious life away.

They thought
she would lament
her misfortune
in the boundaries
of the wheels.

She chose
to fly instead…

  1. I can relate to your words…with the many disabilities that affect me each day,..I refuse to sit back and let it get me down…i keep moving forward thanking God for the blessing of his love. All could be worse, but its not…I choose to fly and lift others with me. Beautiful poem! God bless!
