Distant Mountains

She was always intrigued,
by the bluish hue
of distant mountains.
She, a child
of the same mountains,
concluded
that they were stained
by the wetness
of the blue sky.
She believed so
till
she was taken out
from among the mountains
and imprisoned
in concrete buildings,
where she was told
to believe
that there was no sky.
